1. Who can subscribe NIC CashCard?
All the individuals maintaining either current account or saving account with NIC bank can subscribe NIC CashCard. In addition to this, individual who do not have maintained account with the bank can also subscribe Prepaid NIC CashCard.
2. Can joint account holder get separate cards for themselves?
In case of joint account holder, one or more cards for anyone or all of the account holders can be issued at the request of all the account holders. The joint account holders will be equally liable for all the transactions made by the use of the card or cards.
3. Can Minor, apply for the card?
Because of the age limit minors itself cannot subscribe the card but operator of the minor's account can apply for the card. The card will be issued in the name of the minor.
4. How do I Apply for the CashCard and when will I get it?
Fill up NIC CashCard Application form and submit it to the Customer Service of any branch of the bank at your convenient. You may collect NIC CashCard application form from any branch of NIC bank or can be downloaded from our website as well. You may receive CashCard within ... days in case of Kathmandu valley branches and... days in case of outside Kathmandu valley branches.
5. What are the withdraw limit and Charges of NIC CashCard.
The withdraw limits and charges of NIC CashCards are as follows:
- Minimum Withdrawal per transaction: NPR 500 (Each withdrawal shall be in multiple of NPR 500)
- Maximum Withdrawal per transaction: NPR 15,000
- Maximum withdrawal frequency per day: 5 times
- Maximum Withdrawal in total per day: NPR 50,000
- Card Issuance/ Card Renewal/ Card replacement in case of lost and damage; charge: NPR 250
- Cash withdraw per transaction: NPR 25
- All POS transactions are free of charge
- There is no limit of purchase per day
Yes there is every possibility of use of cards by any other persons. Hence it is strongly requested to all the cardholders to put the cards and its pin number separately.
8. What if card Scratched/Broken?
If the card is found to be inoperative because of scratch/ break down, replacement card shall be issued to cardholder.
9. What happens if card is lost or stolen?
If the card is lost or stolen, the cardholder is required to report the same to the bank in writing. Cardholder itself will be liable for all transactions until the bank receives intimation in writing. Once the bank receives the information about the loss or theft it will immediately block the existing card and replace it with re-issuing new card at applicable charges upon cardholder request.
