NIC Foundation contributes to construct a trail from Kusma to Modi Beni in Parbat DistrictFebruary 01, 2010 - News NRs. 61,000.00 to construct a trail from Kusma to Modi Beni in Parbat District. It was initiated by a social worker, Mr. Krishna Lal Tripathi for the construction of the trail. On behalf of NIC Foundation, NIC Bank’s Branch Manager in Pokhara, Mr. Sameer Acharya handed over the cheque to Mr. Krishna Lal Tripathi at a function held today in Pokhara Branch. This is the second time in this week that NIC Foundation has financial helped for such a social cause. Last Wednesday itself, NIC Foundation, had financially helped an orphanage (Bal Kalyan Griha) situated in Khandbari, Sankhuwsabha through Makalu Trishakti Samuha (MATS) Nepal by handing over a cheque of Rs.50, 000. The NIC Foundation has also been providing scholarship to 6 students studying in Bal Kalyan Primary School of Hemja-01, Kaski. NIC Foundation is a non profit making organization promoted by NIC Bank to fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility. It is continuously sponsoring various social activites like child education programme, scholarship to disabled & orphans and financial help to orphanages and hospital etc. It is also running free health checkup in various part of the country. NIC Foundation strongly believes such social programs will encourage others as well to come forward and contribute for such social causes. The Bank contributes to social causes through NIC Foundation by setting aside 0.5 % of its profit every year. |
