NIC Bank organized SME Workshop in partnership with International Finance Corporation (IFC) for Nepali Corporates & SME

NIC Bank organized a one day training workshop on “Global Trade Finance” in partnership with International Finance Corporation (IFC)-World Bank Group, for Nepali Corporates & Small Medium Enterprises (SME) in Yak & Yeti Hotel today.

The workshop was inaugurated by the Bank’s CEO, Mr. Sashin Joshi and the program was conducted by Mr. Jean-Louis Lemaire (Senior Advisor) of Financial Access.

This workshop was extremely useful for educating Nepali exporters, importers and manufacturers, to help them manage risk in international business and to optimize use of appropriate trade finance solutions. This workshop was participated by 50 business houses.

NIC Bank is the first bank in Nepal to have been provided a line of credit by IFC & it is also a partner institution of IFC for SME finance.

NIC Bank plans to bring more of such programs for the benefit of Nepali business in the future.
